And recount to them the story of Abraham: 69 He said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship' 70 They answered: We worship idols, and we remain ever devoted to them." 71 He said, “Do they hear you when you call?” 72 Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?" 73 They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so." 74 He said: have ye observed that which ye worship 75 You and your ancient sires. 76 They are an enemy to me, except the Lord of all Being 77 Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me. 78 "Who gives me food and drink, 79 And heals me when I am sick, 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 And He Who, I long, shall forgive me my faults, on the Day of Requital. 82 O Lord, give me wisdom and admit me among the righteous, 83 And grant me an honourable mention in later generations; 84 Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss 85 "And forgive my father - for, verily, he is among those who have gone astray 86 And abase me not on the day when they are raised, 87 The Day when neither wealth nor sons shall benefit 88 Save him who bringeth unto Allah a whole heart. 89 And Paradise will be brought close for the pious. 90 And the hell shall be made manifest to the erring ones, 91 and they will be asked: "Where are the gods that you worshipped 92 Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?" 93 Then the idols and those who strayed will be hurled into the Fire headlong, one upon another, 94 and the hosts of Iblis, all together. 95 They will say while they dispute therein, 96 'By Allah, we were certainly in clear error, 97 when we deemed you [false deities] equal to the Sustainer of all the worlds 98 It was naught but the sinners that led us astray; 99 We have no one to intercede for us before God 100 nor any loving friend. 101 But if we could but once return, we would be of the believers. 102 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 103 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 104

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
