The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
