Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 He said, “Therefore exit from heaven, for you have been outcast.” (To disrespect the Prophets – peace and blessings be upon them – is blasphemy.) 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
