Believers, obey God and His Messengers and do not turn away from Him when you hear (His commands). 20 and be not as those who say, 'We hear,' and they hear not. 21 ۞ Verily the vilest of beasts with Allah are the deaf and dumb who understand not. 22 If Allah had found in them any good. He would indeed have made them listen: (As it is), if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (Faith). 23 O believers, respond to God and the Messenger when He calls you unto that which will give you life; and know that God stands between a man and his heart, and that to Him you shall be mustered. 24 Beware of sedition, which does not affect the oppressors alone among you, and know that the punishment of God is severe. 25 And remember how He gave you shelter when you were few in number and considered weak in the land, ever fearing that the people would snatch you away; but He gave you refuge and supported you with His victory and provided you with goodness, so that you might give thanks. 26 O Ye who believe! defraud not Allah and the apostle, nor defraud your trusts while ye know. 27 Know well that your belongings and your children are but a trial, and that with Allah there is a mighty reward. 28
