The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
