The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O you who are clothed! 1 Arise and warn, 2 and magnify the glory of your Lord, 3 cleanse your clothes, 4 And banish all trepidation. 5 and bestow not favour in order to seek from others a greater return, 6 Exercise patience to please your Lord. 7 And [warn all men that] when the trumpet-call [of resurrection] is sounded, 8 That, at that time, shall be a difficult day, 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave Me with him whom I created alone, 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 And gave him sons present before him. 13 And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. 14 After all that he desires that I should give more; 15 Never. He is refractory of Our signs. 16 I will constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Surely he reflected and guessed, 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way; 22 Then he turned back and was arrogant 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 24 This is naught but the word of a mortal. 25 [Hence,] I shall cause him to endure hell-fire [in the life to come]! 26 And what could make thee conceive what hell-fire is? 27 It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)! 28 Darkening and changing the colour of man! 29 Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
