Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
