We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
