Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
