The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
