And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 For all their deeds. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
