Al-Sajdah 3 of 3
We verily gave Moses the Scripture; so be not ye in doubt of his receiving it; and We appointed it a guidance for the Children of Israel. 23 We appointed some of the Israelites as leaders for their exercising patience to guide the others to Our commands. They had firm belief in Our revelations. 24 Surely your Lord will judge between them on the day of resurrection concerning that wherein they differ. 25 Does it not guide them [to see] how many generations We destroyed before them, among whose ruined dwellings they now walk about? There truly are signs in this -- will they not listen? 26 Have they not seen that We drive the water to the barren land and cause crops to grow which they and their cattle consume? Why, then, they will not see? 27 They also say, 'When shall be this Victory, if you speak truly?' 28 Say: 'On the Day of Opening the faith of the unbelievers will not benefit them, nor shall they be respited' 29 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), and await (the event). Lo! they (also) are awaiting (it). 30
God the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
