۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 Are we then not to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
