Thamood cried lies to the warnings 23 And they said: a mere human being from amongst us, and single! shall we follow him! verily then we should fall in error and madness. 24 Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar." 25 Ah! they will know on the morrow, which is the liar, the insolent one! 26 Lo! We are sending the she-camel as a test for them; so watch them and have patience; 27 And inform them that the water is shared between them; every share of the water shall be regulated. 28 Then they called their fellow, and he took the sword and hamstrung her, 29 How then were My punishment and My warnings! 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 We have made the Koran an easy Remembrance, is there any that will remember! 32 The people of Lut belied the warnings. 33 Indeed We sent a shower of stones upon them, except the family of Lut; We rescued them before dawn. 34 A favor from Us; thus do We reward him who gives thanks. 35 And certainly he warned them of Our violent seizure, but they obstinately disputed the warning. 36 And certainly they endeavored to turn him from his guests, but We blinded their eyes; so taste My chastisement and My warning. 37 Indeed an abiding chastisement came upon them in the morning. 38 “So taste My punishment, and My warnings!” 39 We have made it easy indeed to learn lessons from the Quran.
