Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed is He in whose hand is the Kingdom: He has power over all things; 1 The One Who created death and life to test you – who among you has the better deeds; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Oft Forgiving. 2 He created seven heavens one above the other in layers. You will not find any flaw in the creation of the Gracious One. Then look once again: can you see any flaw? 3 Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued. 4 We have decked the lowest heavens with torches. With these torches We have stoned the devils and We have prepared for them the torment of hell. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort. 6 When they are thrown into hell, they will hear its roaring while it boils. 7 nearly bursting apart out of rage. Every time a host is cast therein, its keepers will ask them: 'Did no one come to warn you' 8 They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 9 And they shall say: Had we but listened or pondered, we should not have been among the inmates of the burning fire. 10 They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire! 11 Surely forgiveness and a mighty reward await those who fear Allah without seeing Him. 12 (Whether you) speak in secret or aloud, He knows the innermost of the chests. 13 Shall He not know, who created? And He is the All-subtle, the All-aware. 14
