And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 As to what they did. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
