Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Is this what their senses tell them, or are they a rebellious people? 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Or, [if you believe in God, how can you believe that] He has [chosen to have] daughters, whereas you yourselves would have [only] sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 And wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, for surely you are before Our eyes, and sing the praise of your Lord when you rise; 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49
True are the words of God the Almighty.
