▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
