The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
