And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 He said: Lo! ye are folk unknown (to me). 62 They said: nay! we have come to thee with that whereof they have been dubitating. 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. 66 And the people of the town came rejoicing. 67 [Lout (Lot)] said: "Verily! these are my guests, so shame me not. 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They said: Have we not forbidden you from (other) people? 70 "Here are my daughters," said Lot, "if you are so active." 71 By thy life (O Muhammad) they moved blindly in the frenzy of approaching death. 72 Then the mighty Blast caught them at sunrise, 73 And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 Surely, in that there is a sign for those who believe. 77 Since the People of the Forest were unjust, 78 We afflicted them with punishment. Both people had clear (divine) authority among them. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
