And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ And his companion shall say: 'Our Lord, I did not make him insolent, he was far astray' 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
