Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And the close of night, 17 The rising dawn, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established in position with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
