Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account. 26

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
