The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
