Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha-Mim 1 By the Clear Book 2 We have made it an Arabic reading text so that perhaps you may understand. 3 And verily it is, in the Original Book before Us, indeed exalted. 4 Can We ignore sending you the Quran just because you are a transgressing people? 5 And how many a prophet have We sent among the ancients. 6 Yet never did a Prophet come to them but they mocked him. 7 Then We destroyed men mightier than these in prowess; and the example of the men of old hath gone (before them). 8 And if you should ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? they would most certainly say: The Mighty, the Knowing One, has created them; 9 He who made the earth a bed for you, and laid out tracks upon it so that you may find the way; 10 And Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure. Then We revive a dead land therewith, and even so you will be brought forth (from the dead), 11 And He Who created pairs of all things, and made for you of the ships and the cattle what you ride on, 12 so that when you are mounted upon them you may remember the bounty of your Lord, and say: “Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to Us whereas we did not have the strength to subdue it. 13 And to our Lord we shall surely return." 14 But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion. Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful. 15
