۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
