Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
