And said the leaders of his people, who disbelieved and denied the confronting of the Hereafter – and We had given them comfort in the worldly life – that, “He is nothing but a human like you, he eats from what you eat and drinks from what you drink.” 33 So if you follow a man like yourself you will certainly be doomed. 34 Promiseth he unto you that ye, when ye have died and have become dust and bones, ye are to be brought forth? 35 ۞ Begone, begone, with that which ye are promised! 36 There is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and we shall not be raised (again). 37 He is naught but a man who has forged against God a lie, and we will not believe him.' 38 He said: 'Help me, Lord, they belie me' 39 [And God] would say: "After a little while they will surely be smitten with remorse!" 40 And the Cry seized them justly, and We made them as scum; so away with the people of the evildoers! 41 After them We brought another generation into existence. 42 no nation outstrips its term, nor do they put it back. 43 Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 To Firon and his chiefs, but they behaved haughtily and they were an insolent people. 46 They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" 47 So they belied them, and they were among the destroyed. 48 And We gave the Book to Moses so that they may be guided. 49 and We made Mary's son, and his mother, to be a sign, and gave them refuge upon a height, where was a hollow and a spring: 50
