Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
