Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
