O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). 20 And do not be like those who say: "We have heard," but do not hear. 21 ۞ The worst beasts before Allah are those who are deaf, dumb, and do not understand. 22 If Allah had found in them any good. He would indeed have made them listen: (As it is), if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (Faith). 23 O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 Beware of sedition, which does not affect the oppressors alone among you, and know that the punishment of God is severe. 25 And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you, but He provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His Help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful. 26 O you who believe! be not unfaithful to Allah and the Apostle, nor be unfaithful to your trusts while you know. 27 And know that your property and your children are a temptation, and that Allah is He with Whom there is a mighty reward. 28
