So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
