۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 in a hidden Book 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
