Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the concrete reality? 2 What do you comprehend by the concrete reality? 3 The people of Thamud and Ad denied the Day of Judgment. 4 Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. 5 And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast. 6 Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! 7 Then do you see of them any remains? 8 The Pharaoh, those who lived before him and the people of the Subverted Cities all persisted in doing evil. 9 They therefore disobeyed the Noble Messengers of their Lord – so He seized them with an intense seizure. 10 Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship 11 making it a Reminder for you, for all attentive ears to retain. 12 So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and then crushed with a single blow, 14 on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass; 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail. 16 And the angels shall be on the borders thereof; and on that Day eight shall bear over them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 On that Day you shall be exposed, and no secret of yours will remain hidden. 18 He who is given his ledger in his right hand, will say: "Here, read my ledger. 19 Indeed, I knew that I should come to my reckoning' 20 Then he will be in blissful state 21 in a lofty Garden 22 The fruits of which are near at hand: 23 Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! 24 And whoever is given his book in his left hand – he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” 25 and knew nothing of my reckoning. 26 Would that it (my death) had ended it all! 27 My riches have availed me not; 28 my authority is gone from me.' 29 'Take him, and fetter him, 30 “Then hurl him into the blazing fire.” 31 then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him. 32 He did not believe in Allah, the Great, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 and so, no friend has here today, 35 “Nor any food except the pus discharged from the people of hell.” 36 which only the sinners eat". 37
