The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
