The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder, 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 and casts forth what is in it, and voids itself, 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 and will return rejoicing to his family. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 he surely thought he would never revert. 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance? ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So give them tidings of a painful punishment, 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
