Believers, do not consume usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear Allah, in order that you shall prosper. 130 And ward off (from yourselves) the Fire prepared for disbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ Hasten to obtain forgiveness from your Lord and to qualify yourselves for Paradise. Paradise, vast as the heavens and the earth, is prepared for the pious 133 Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men;- for Allah loves those who do good;- 134 (Paradise) is also for those who, when committing a sin or doing injustice to themselves, remember God and ask Him to forgive their sins. Who can forgive sins besides God? And who do not knowingly persist in their mistakes? 135 For such, the reward is Forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath (Paradise), wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is this reward for the doers (who do righteous deeds according to Allah's Orders). 136 Systems have passed away before you. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for those who did deny (the messengers). 137 This is a clear declaration for mankind, and a guidance and a warning for those who preserve themselves from evil. 138 And do not become faint of heart, nor grieve, you will have the upper hand, if you are believers, 139 If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers - 140 And that Allah may prove those who believe, and may blight the disbelievers. 141 Do you think that you will enter the garden while Allah has not yet known those who strive hard from among you, and (He has not) known the patient. 142 And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. 143
