3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
