Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
