Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 in a Garden on high, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 In which are high thrones. 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 Cushions arranged, 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
