Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
