Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
A. L. M. 1 [This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance. 3 IT IS GOD who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. You have none to protect you from God, and none to intercede for you [on Judgment Day]: will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 4 He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 then He causes him to be begotten out of the essence of a humble fluid; 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him something of a spirit from Him; and He ordained for you hearing and sight and hearts. Little is the thanks ye return. 9 They say: “Shall we be created afresh after we have become lost in the earth?” Nay, the fact is that they deny that they will meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
