۞ Say, "I only advise you of one [thing] - that you stand for Allah, [seeking truth] in pairs and individually, and then give thought." There is not in your companion any madness. He is only a warner to you before a severe punishment. 46 Say: 'I have asked no wage of you; that shall be yours. My wage falls only upon God; and He is witness over everything.' 47 Say to them: “My Lord hurls down the Truth (upon me). He knows fully all that lies beyond the range of perception.” 48 Say thou: the truth is come, and falsehood shall neither originate nor be restored. 49 Say: "Were I to go astray, I would but go astray [due to my own self, and] to the hurt of myself; but if I am on the right path, it is but by virtue of what my Sustainer reveals unto me: for, verily, He is all-hearing, ever-near!" 50 And if only you see, when they will be forced into a terror from which they will be unable to escape, and are seized from a place nearby. (Wherever they go, they are never far). 51 And they will say, “We accept faith in it”; and how can they attain it from so far away? (After they have crossed the limit of life allotted to them.) 52 since they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a distant place? 53 And between them and their desires, is placed a barrier, as was done in the past with their partisans: for they were indeed in suspicious (disquieting) doubt. 54
