And indeed Nooh prayed to Us – so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
