Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 Rather they were shocked that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers said, “This is something really strange.” 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 The people of Noah, Ar-Rass and Thamud denied before you, 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
