Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
