The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 The reward for what they did. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 And spreading shade, 30 and gushing water, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 and raised couches 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
