Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
