And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 [But when Moses had delivered his message, Pharaoh] said: "Did we not bring thee up among us when thou wert a child? And didst thou not spend among us years of thy [later] life? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 And this is the favour with which you taunt me -- that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
