Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O THOU human being! 1 By the wise Qur'an, 2 Truly, you (O Muhammad SAW) are one of the Messengers, 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 [This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 And We shall raise a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, and cover them over so that they will not be able to see. 9 It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
